About

Garrison Consulting Group was founded in 2015 by Lynne Garrison with a mission to empower and impact leaders across corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. Lynne built Garrison Consulting Group on the foundation of deep frontline experience.

In spring of 2024, leadership of Garrison Consulting Group passed to Lynne’s daugher-in-law, Alanna Howard. Alanna brings a rich background in upper-level management across technology and software companies, leading digital technology and marketing teams at Fortune 500 manufacturing firms, and serving in key leadership roles on nonprofit boards, including Chair and Vice-Chair positions.

A certified, seasoned executive and leadership coach with a proven track record in driving digital transformations and delivering strategic change, Alanna excels in helping organizations navigate complex challenges and seize opportunities for growth. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of technology and leadership, Alanna continues the strong foundation founded by Lynne.

Her passion for cultivating impactful leaders is evident in her work, which spans from nonprofit boardrooms to corporate executive suites. Alanna thrives at the crossroads of strategy and talent development, guiding individuals and teams to not only overcome obstacles but also to gain the confidence needed to excel.

With a Master's from NC State University, Alanna calls North Carolina home. After merging services from her prior consulting company, AH Consulting, she continues to drive Garrison Consulting Group's mission forward—helping leaders and organizations transform with clarity, purpose, and confidence.

About Alanna

Leaders at companies and non-profits with $5 million to $150 million in revenue share with me some of their biggest frustrations:

  • They love the industry, and serving their customers but feel like they struggle to get the most out of their teams.

  • They’ve risen to their roles based on their own passion for the work and ability to make a difference, and now they feel stuck because their teams are misaligned, or the leadership bench is light.

  • As a result, their company's growth has stalled, and they have lost the sense of excitement they had when they first started.

It doesn't have to be this way. When we work together, key leaders report the following benefits:

  • They discover how to engage their teams and get maximum discretionary effort from them.

  • The company reaches the next tier of growth.

  • They often share that they have never felt more excited about the possibilities in front of the org.

Companies and non-profits across the Southeast and Midwest work with me because I spent over a decade driving digital transformations in top software and manufacturing firms. From strategy to execution, I had to learn how to shift from being great at technology to also engaging and building great teams. Since then, I’ve earned a Master’s Degree from NC State and trained as an Executive Coach by the Center for Executive Coaching. I’m currently on the path to IFC-ACC Certification, the gold standard for management and executive coaching. Through my work with leaders I’ve developed a proprietary process specifically designed for leaders to scale their companies through adaptability and people.
